The Office of Intramural Training and Education (OITE) has existed within the United States Olympic Committee since 1984. OITE is the national coordinator for USA Volleyball’s recreational, competitive, and educational programs. The office also oversees USA Volleyball’s cooperative education program with universities across the country.

USA Volleyball offers a variety of recreational and competitive programs for players of all ages and abilities. Recreational programs include adult volleyball leagues, co-ed volleyball leagues for high school students, and junior varsity volleyball leagues for middle schoolers. Under this program, university students work as interns in OITE during their final year of undergraduate or graduate studies. Internships offer students the opportunity to gain experience in various aspects of USA Volleyball operations while earning college credit.

OITE offers numerous educational opportunities for coaches and players alike.
